The Oasis Women’s Circle

Step into the medicine of deep winter — the inward, downward pull into nourishing darkness, the season of rest, renewal and rebirth.

While modern culture pulls us toward busyness and constant outward movement, the body knows and is often calling for another way.

This Oasis Circle is an invitation to come and rest beside a warm virtual fire in cozy darkness with a group of soulful women. To gather as if beside a big shimmering pot of winter stew — the kind that nourishes us both body and soul.

To slow down enough for our emotions, our bodies, and our lives to be truly received. Not rushed past or pushed aside, but given spaciousness and warmth.

In the fertile darkness, we can hear what has been whispering to us beneath the noise. We can feel what is ready to be released. We can sense what new seed is quietly preparing to emerge into the light of this new year.

We gather with women, and have permission to explore and play with our voices, in a safe space where no note is "wrong", and everything is welcome.   • As a young girl I was told I was tone deaf so couldn’t get a lead singing role in the musicals. I was also told I talked a lot so I learned to hold my tongue.  Although over the years I expressed myself through movement, coaching, community capacity building and conversation circles, coming together in a sacred singing circle with strangers created a freedom and liberty for the frogs in my throat to croak.  Thank you for creating space for me and my first small singing solo, dry and raspy, and just right!
